A 12 bottle case of this excellent Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé.
No mistakes; this is very good wine!

Mature Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé for Christmas and beyond...

Recently released from long term bonded warehouse, these twelve bottles are in perfect condition.

By Saint Emilion standards, Larmande is quite sizeable, nearly 20 hectares and the average age of the vines is around 35 years. Owned for over a hundred years by the Capdemourlin family and situated on the northern side of the village it is planted with 65% merlot, 30% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon, a traditional blend in these parts. Aged in oak barrels.

Jan 2000 Neal Martin 90-92 Drink from 2008
A beautiful plump raspberry and blackberry nose wafts from the glass. Well-balanced on the palate with fine intensity with a touch of menthol. So much ripeness for a 1999. Good grip but this might be closing up for a while. Very long finish. Superb.
