"Raymond Usseglio has followed his highly regarded 1998s with a strong performance in both 1999 and 2000.This producer is on top of his game and consumers should be pursuing his splendid wines.
The 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Imperiale is stuffed with glycerin,concentrated fruit,and abundant notions of spice,earth,pepper,and smoke.Full-bodied,thick,unctuously textured,and rich,it possesses enough tannin to warrant 2-3 years of cellaring,but is already hard to resist.Enjoy it over the next 15-20 years".
