Swiss born Kurt Ammann is one of the Cape's best kept secrets. He bought the farm in 1981 with his wife Lyne and within the first two years had produced one of the finest red wines ever produced in the Cape with his 1983 Rozendal. In the early 1990's they adopted a more homeopathic approach and had developed into a fully biodynamic operation by 1999.
Rozendal Farm comprises of 6ha of vines. The farm is situated in the Jonkershoek valley on the border of Stellenbosch, on the foot of the Jonkershoek mountains. The farm and cellar buildings are in excess of 150 years old.
