Oddero is a traditionalist and makes wines of classic style. They use big Slavonian oak barrels instead of the small French oak barrels, looking more for unadulterated purity in their wines than manipulation. The Oddero Barolo is a classic and 2004 is a tremendous vintage, the power of 1996 and 1999 with the suppleness of 2001, capable of aging 10-20+ years without a problem.
