Description

La Bienfaisance is a relative newcomer to the Saint Emilion scene. It was created in 1990 when various adjacent parcels of vineyards (16 hectares in all) situated on the heights of St Christophe des Bardes and Saint Emilion were united under 'La Bienfaisance'.
Different soil types and varieties (Merlot 80%, Cabernet franc 17% Cabernet Sauv. 3%) plus 12/18 months in oak barrels make this a very desirable claret, especially from the outstanding 2005 vintage.
