It is a blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Here's a link to the winery's notes. On the nose, there is an aroma of ripe attractive black fruits. On the palate, there are spices, plums, good length, not too much acid and a touch of anise. It reminded me a little of a warmer climate cabernet with its sweet fruit. But not so warm as to lose varietal characteristics. I also kept writing down different flavours after a couple of minutes in the glass: a good sign too. A very easy drinking wine that is both gluggable and good.
