In a Decanter magazine tasting of 182 Cru Bourgeois from the exceptional 2009 vintage,La Haye proved the pedigree of its terroir and was adjudged the best wine,as it was the only Chateau to receive the coveted Decanter***** (Five Star) Award:-
"Restrained aromas suggesting a fine depth,offering black fruit,chocolate and earth.Smooth and substantial entry with a refined thickness on the mid-palate.Very Cabernet and very elegant,with lots of class and a great future.Fabulous".

Just like 1990 and 1982,the low acidity,the very ripe fruit,the high glycerin levels from the elevated alcohols,and the stunning concentration and fruit from low yields will give most of these wines incredible appeal in youth".
