Chateau Lamothe Bergeron is known as one of the leading Cru Bourgeois in the Medoc.It has been producing wine since 1796 and the vines are grown on some of the best gravels in the Gironde Estuary.Hubert de Bouard is the consultant winemaker.Perfect weather conditions in 2009 resulted in one of the finest Lamothe Bergerons ever produced...60% Merlot,40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Robert Parker considers 2009 to be the best year for Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois wines,since the legendary 1982 vintage.


"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois 2009 tasting in London,the Lamothe Bergeron has a well defined bouquet with blackberry,wild hedgrow,dried orange peel,and a touch of cedar.Good definition and lift.The palate is medium-bodied,with very good natural acidity,very refined with a healthy touch of acidity on the finish that lends freshness and vitality.Very fine".
