Robert Parker thought that 2009 was the greatest vintage for Bordeaux's Cru Bourgeois wines since the 1982 vintage.The Winemaker at Chateau Larose-Trintaudon also agrees that it was a superb vintage:-

"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois 2009 tasting in London.The Larose-Trintaudon 2009 has a very refined,"classic" bouquet with sous-bois,tobacco,and broody dark fruits.The delineation is terrific.The palate is medium-bodied,with very fine tannins,great tension,with crisp black,mineral-laden fruits on the finish. Bon Vin! Tasted September 2011".

"Very deep,intense ruby color with violet hues.On the palate,great sweetness:vanilla,cinnamon,tamarind,ginger and dried fruits:figs,dates.A racy,incredibly full-bodied and well-structured wine with enormous density and power.Infinite length on the palate,excellent balance between fruit,tannin,and acidity.Decant two hours before tasting".
