Chateau Fargueirol is now run by the seventh generation of the Revoltier family and the Domaine consists of 30ha of vineyards,of which 15ha are on the best ground of the Chateauneuf appellation.
2010 was an exceptional vintage in Chateauneuf du Pape and Chateau Figueirol has produced a substantial wine capable of ageing for 10+ years:-
"The 2010 Fargueirol Chateauneuf du Pape (70% Grenache,20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre aged in foudre and demi-muid) reveals a deep ruby/plum/purple hue as well as notes of black currants,black cherries,lavender,licorice,and tobacco leaf.This deep medium to full-bodied 2010 is capable of lasting 10-12 years.
Named after one of the famous lieu-dit of Chateauneuf du Pape,this 75-acre estate is located southeast of several more famous sites such as Mont Redon and Cabrieres.Fargueirol has been making better and better,traditionally made wines over recent vintages".
