Michel Chapoutier's 2010 Belleruche is a top Cotes-du-Rhone from an outstanding Rhone vintage,which would be on a par in quality with a very good Chateauneuf du Pape:-
"Chapoutier's Belleruche Rouge is a great introduction to one of the world's most celebrated wine appellations: the Cotes-du-Rhone region.This wine is garnet red in color.On the nose,aromas of red fruits,mainly morello cherries and spices,licorice,and grey pepper.This wine has great structure with firm and silky tannins".

"The dark ruby-colored 2010 Cotes-du-Rhone Belleruche (primarily Grenache) exhibits delicious red and black currant fruit with sweet cherries in the background.It possesses a nice crunchiness as well as good focus and precision because of the vintages's acidity and freshness".
