1995 for Rioja DOC was 'Un Año Excelente'
The wines are drinking well now, the best will still give much pleasure to come.
The Muga Bodega has two Gran Reservas and 'Muga' is thus distinct from the 'Prado Enea' The Bodega launched 'Muga' in 1994 along with Muga Torre.
1995 was such an exceptional year, the Bodega produced this 'Cuvée La Reserve', the careful selection of the best grapes of its vintage. This lovely Gran Reserva is a Tempranillo blend consisting of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 10% Mazuelo & Graciano
After 6 months in oak vats, the wine has been aged for 30 months in new and second year oak casks.
This is quite a rarity from a top quality Bodega in a blow out year.
