From the outstanding 1961 Vintage, a bottle in excellent condition,with the level particularly good.
It was during the nineteenth century that the family Tronquoy Lalande did a lot for this wine bearing their name. The plans of the castle were designed by the architect Victor Louis, whose reputation at that time was very high especially since he built the Grand Theatre de Bordeaux and the arcades of the Palais Royal in Paris.
The wines are distinguished by a dark colour, an elegant tannic structure and lots of fruit, that give them excellent aging potential.
