I had a case of 12 bottles, this weekend at a party, I opened a bottle as there was concern that the wine may have passed it's drinkable life. Fortunately, it has clearly been well stored as the cork although slightly deteriorating on the outer edge (having removed the foil seal) was nicely soaked and moist with the wine.
Several of us sampled it and all were in agreement that it tasted wonderful and improved more and more the longer it was allowed to breathe. I even ended up selling two more bottles to people at the party!
I am keeping a few more for myself but I think they do need to be consumed within the next 6 months or so (although they've lasted over 30 years with seemingly no major deterioration so who knows?!) so I am offering 6 bottles individually for sale.
