The 2001 vintage was a surprise. It has a deep crimson colour with hints of violet. The nose is splendidly powerful, but once again, elegance prevails. The aromas recall pickled plums, blackberries and elderberries, combined with a blend of vanilla and sweet spices and a dark chocolate finish.
Magnificent length, minerality and freshness in the mouth. This vintage is definitely a match for the 2000.
