I have for sale 2 bottles of Chateau Haut Bailly 1988 in very good condition which I'm selling as individual bottles. Capsules in very good condition, labels slightly stained as can be seen from the photos.
My reserve is a bargain for a mature Haut Bailly from a massively under rated vintage that was overshadowed, being the first of the last great trilogy, (and as a result offers real value) by 1989 and 1990.

Dark chocolate, with meat, fresh mushroom and a light espresso undertone. Full-bodied, with ultrarefined tannins and a meaty, berry, earth and spice undertone, even game. Rich and generous. What a surprise. Much better than I remember. (Web-2009).
