Producer's Note:

'A tragic August (126 mm, of rain, which is twice normal). But September weather was very good. Just at the start of the harvest, six days of great heat enabled the grapes to be gathered in the best condition. Several very agreeable wines, but beginning to fade.

An attractive bottle today. The wine is supple, fine and soft; the bouquet is nicely developed, with notes of wood and resin. The tannin is mellow, agreeable, and well-balanced in the mouth.'
