Description

A bottle of the rare 1933 Lafite in excellent condition for the age; capsule in very good condition; level to very top shoulder; label showing some cellar damage but the essentials are visible. With a very bright light the vintage can also be seen on the cork through the glass.

Micheal Broadbent in his "Vintage Wine" says: "light, delicate, delicious when first tasted in 1955. A similar note in 1980. More recently, a whiff of 'bottle stink' clearing beautifully, rich, flavoury, fragrant. Last tasted Oct 1988. At best 4 stars.
