You are looking at a pair of great Lafites, including a bottle of the wonderful 1959 - rated by Parker as, 'the greatest Lafite-Rothschild that has approached full maturity.' The 1959 is excellent order - level top-shoulder, capsule and label complete and tight. The 1962 - a classic, elegant vintage in its own right - is also in great order and is a wonderful glassful too.
The reserve on this lot is FAR less than half that of the ex-VAT broker price for a comparable 1959 from a broker and you get the 1962 too, so it's a bargain waiting to be had.
