I have for sale one bottle of Chateau Leoville Poyferre 1982. A legendary year and a fabulous wine.
Purchased at auction but need to recoup funds. The seller confirmed they have had other wines from this case which were delicious.

Deep purple color, extremely concentrated wine. At or slightly past its prime. Tanins fully Integrated and a very full mouth feel amazingly it took 1.5 hours of air time but when it open was classic poyferre taste I have grown to love. Very Cabernet dominant in flavor. Has a beautiful carrant flavor with low acidity. Not as dynamic as my last bottle of 1982 but great nevertheless. With bottles of 1990, 2000 and 2009 at the same price or less not sure I will spend money for another bottle unless a great deal. Don’t get me wrong the wine is great but too many other great wines at this price range.

Beautiful color and absolutely delicious. Seems to have some life left in it but I would recommend drinking now. I could sniff in glass all day!

Obviously not on the level of the first growths, Lalande, and La Mission, but this wine is an outstanding example of left bank 82. If you like a healthy dose of minestrone soup with your cassis, red raspberries, and vanilla, this is bottle for you. The vegetal notes are not overpowering at all, they seem like harmonious elements of a whole. Lots going on, tannins are pretty much gone, very soft mouth feel. Sadly, the fruit is makings way for the door, unless stored very cold since release, 750s should be consumed now, don't let this beautiful wine die in your cellar!

Beautiful cigar box with delicate floral touches...very delicate...delicious
