Description

One of a number of bottles I have of Pape Clement from the outstanding 1961 vintage. Capsule good; level to very top shoulder; colour deep and reddish through the glass; label cellar faded.

Michael Broadbent in his "Great Vintage Wine Book" says: Very deep, mahogany. Characteristic tobacco-like red Graves smell and taste. Firm; fragrant, elegant, quite sweet, lovely texture, still tannic despite its maturity. 4 stars
