Description

Despite this bottle's low level, the wine loss has only occurred through ullaging over it's long life - there is no sign of any seepage ever having occurred and the capsule is nice and firm (which in my experience - Latour 1899 and Lagrange 1884 - has been an excellent indicator to the contents still being good)

The bottle came from an old French collector who was selling off his wine. He had this bottle many years (I believe it might have been presented to him)

Robert Parker still - as of 2016 - rated the Petrus 1929 at 100/100

The old fashioned label is exactly the same as the 1929 tasted and shown still on the Cellartracker site.

There is only one Wine Searcher reference for the sale of a bottle of this wine - in France - for £10 000 the bottle.

My reserve is a lot less, of course, but as my wife used to say "sometimes inexpensive - never cheap !"

£10 (12€) single bottle I will be over to the UK from France (where I live and from where I ship wine) within the 1st 2 weeks of June, so collection from my son's in London would also be a good bet (safer) and I could deliver myself for £10-15 but only in some parts of the South-East, Essex, Cambridge or perhaps the South-West (ask me)
