10/14/2017 - DAGIJ LIKES THIS WINE: 93 Points
Deep ruby, no signs of age although the wine is 13 years old. The nose is still on primary fruit, dominated by blackberries, blackcurrant and blue plums, topped with mineral tones (graphite, iron), and combined with aromas of the upbringing: coffe, vanilla and chocolate. Full bodied with an incredible freshness, making the toal impression almost light. Still, the wine is quite hefty, loads of black fruit backed with mineral tones. What makes this a great wine, however, is the quality of the tannins: extremely present, but sweet and velvety. This is the mark of great wines, especially in Bordeaux. Extremely long. Still too young, keep it for five years, it will keep for twenty years after that.

10/16/2017 - NOVIE1234 LIKES THIS WINE: 93 Points
Very well structured and drinking well now - though will continue to evolve over the next few years. Strong tabacoo and deep earth on the nose with a powerful punch of dark fruit and just underripe cherry. Tannin is firm, but beautiful in how it layers the wine. Decanted for an hour. Got better through the night.
