The “fabulous” 98-99 point Chateau Valandraud 2015 is a small production, highly scored and sharply priced St Emilion.
The critics were clearly impressed. Neal Martin awarded 95-97 points, the Wine Spectator 94-97, and James Suckling a massive 98-99 points, placing the Valandraud above even fellow St Emilion Cheval Blanc according to his 2015 ratings.
A small garagiste operation with a cult following, output is low and this makes mature Valandraud always tough to find and it therefore a compelling option close to release if available.
