Mid crimson. Florally aromatic - sweet and pretty. Very delicate hand. Far from taken to the limit of ripeness and even with a little bite of less than to-the-limit-ripe tannins. Refreshing - a bit of a bet on the near side of the equation, presumably to avoid the risk of overripe Merlot? Long. Drink 2014 to 2026. Date tasted 17th April 06.

It was a relatively small and unfamiliar label to me, but this vintage simply blew my palate off! You have to understand at my level not many Bordeaux wines can impress me anymore, as I have virtually covered almost everything under the sun.
Nose of dark red fruits and coffee, a bit smokey. The charm is on the palate; the softness set me aback, that’s really rare! Very rounded, ripe and totally ready for prime drinking window, I’m really glad to have found a great Pomerol! ****(*) Wine with Bok January 2017
