The 2006 Alexander Laing Old Vine Grenache is medium ruby-colored, the nose gives up spice aromas including cinnamon, white pepper, clove, and sage as well as black cherry and black raspberry. Silky-textured, elegant, and already showing some complexity, this tasty Grenache will perform optimally from 2010 to 2018.

Alexander Gordon Laing was yet another explorer from Scotland who trekked around West Africa in the 18th century. Alexander Laing, like the rest of our Single Vineyard Series, owes its existence to the blocks of weather-beaten bush vines that survived the vine-pull of the end of the last century.

Silky-textured, elegant, and already showing some complexity, this tasty Grenache will reach its apogee in 2018.
