Tasting note: A solidly complex and fully mature nose that has now given over to mostly earth, game and sous bois-infused aromas that also reflect a very subtle hint of lactic acid before merging into robust but no longer particularly structured flavors of reasonably impressive depth, concentration and length. Two important points are worth noting: one is that there are no green tannins present, which is the fault that plagues many '90s today and two is that what structure that does remain is relatively fine. Overall, this is a very attractive combination of mature complexity, intensity, balanced size and weight that culminates in admirable length. This should continue to age well though there will be no further improvement in the offing. Consistent notes.
