Smart consumers have long recognized the quality of Montrose’s second wine in top vintages. The deep plum/ruby/purple-tinged 2004 La Dame de Montrose possesses sweet tannin, loads of supple fruit (there must be considerable Merlot in the blend), and a round, juicy, stylish finish. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years.

Jancis Robinson - Healthy purple. Sweetness and freshness on the nose. Surprisingly round – not especially typical of St Estèphe, nor very typical of 2004. Charming with good acidity and extremely fine tannins. Charm itself. Very gentle right up to the end which, with its dryness, reminds us that, yes, this is a 2004.
