A deep, ruby colour, aromas of dark fruit, intense smooth tannins. Domaine Tempier's 2000 is a classic with amazing tertiary aromas of leather and forest-floor but still with plenty of fruit. The wine is traditionally made without using herbicides, chemical fungicides. Low yields for full potential. Hand harvested, carried in small bins, hand selected grapes. Fermented with natural yeast, aged 18-20 months in large oak casks and bottled without fining or filtering.
This is such a wonderful, classic Bandol with a warm, rustic character.
