Description

3 bottles of Thalabert 1999 from Jaboulet. Possible the top Crozes domaine, these bottles really sing with some age and this was a great vintage in all the northern rhone.

Several positive notes on cellertracker and the UK wine forum. Parker likes this too, saying it was the finest vintage since 1990 in 2002.

someone I know well wrote"A hint of butchers shop, read meat, iron and shavings. Meduim fruit intensity, good bambly. and a long finish. lovely and at peak. 18/20" on Cellartracker

Another Note gave it 91 pts :- "Deep bright garnet to ruby. Lovely nose of northern a Rhone Syrah. White pepper, a drop of blood and rust, and medium red fruit. Feels a little more red-fruited than the other two; brighter acidity and silk rather than velvet."
