The last three tasting notes on CellarTracker all awarded this wine with 94 Points:-

"I opened this because I noticed a little seepage. It was stunning.A beautiful old wine".
(94 Points).

CellarTracker. (7/6/2014).

"This wine is now 21 years old and has certainly "come of age".
This bottle had a touch of farmyard on the nose when opened but it was decanted and left for 3 hours.Relatively pale red hue with a little browning at rim and greaqt legs.It opened nicely with short-lived touches of strawberry and violets on the nose and a trace of VA early.
It constantly developed in the glass and displayed the usual Musar "sweet" fruit on the palate - damsons,(sour) cherries, mulberries.Spices - cinnamon, cloves - a touch of orange on the palate.Very, very long.Short-lived hints of Rhone and Burgundy? But I think it is a mistake to try too hard for comparisons, despite the original French connection of Gaston Hochar. The wine is unique and deserves to be assessed on its own terms.
Lovely stuff.A great wine.
Later - the wine was still opening up after 5 hours - the nose was even more pronounced - perfumed, sweet, spicy. It handled a boeuf bourguignon very well.I can't help thinking it might be even better suited to Moroccan lamb or similar - spicy, sweeter food, perhaps with apricots.
I wanted to keep some for the next day,but we didn't have the will power. The last glass went superbly with some ripe stilton....
After cheese (6 hours in),the sweetness dominated - absolutely stunning mix of fruit and spice. As always,it leaves you thinking the best is yet to come....The next time,I'll do no more than taste small samples for at least 8 hours. No rush to drink the rest IMO.Do open really early to get the best out of it".
(94 Points).

CellarTracker. (16/3/2014).

"A particularly good bottle.Brighter fruit than normal. It is drinking really well - right in the middle of its drinking plateau.Smoky, tobacco, leather with that odd Bordeaux/Burgundy thing going.Lasted easily over two nights".
(94 Points).

CellarTracker. (3/3/2014).
