The Vaucrains, from Burghound, 90-93 pts
Surprisingly, this is more elegant aromatically and I say this because the Perrières is typically more refined aromatically. However, as per usual, this is a big, robust and well muscled wine though perhaps the tannins are better integrated at this stage with a mouth coating finish of imposing length. There is much to like here and this too will need at least a decade to reveal all its potential. 90-93 points
The Bousselots, again from Burghound, 88-91 pts
Because of the recent racking, there was no reduction and the nose was really quite fresh with pretty red berry fruit aromas and cool and very firm flavors that are clearly less evolved than the rest of the range. This is minerally, linear and carrying a palpable underlying sense of tension. This will require a few years to really come together. 88-91 points
