Kanonkop's Bordeaux-style blend is already a South African icon, but the wine has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. Predominantly cabernet sauvignon with a significant proportion of fragrant and charming cabernet franc, and 15% merlot which adds roundness. An elegant wine, currently still showing its classy French oak. Awarded five stars in the 2010 John Platter's Guide. Now to 2020.
