Showing bright black cherries, pomegranate, violets and licorice, this is a very harmonious and deceptively powerful wine. This bottling shows power and balance to high degree, and its toned, sleek muscularity emerges in the pure fruit, balance and focused acidity on the palate. Its smooth and integrated mouthfeel make the wine light on its feet for such a complex, tannic and concentrated bottling. Dark cherries, violets and "sottobosco" combine to give this wine the fruit foundation that will sustain the huge tannins through a long life.
