Description

I'm having a bit of a clearout of odd bottles, so here we have a MAGNUM of Mouton Rothschild 1978 (one of only 3,170).

'Scores' range from 85 (Robert Parker) to 91 (Cellar Tracker) so quite obviously not the best year for Mouton Rothschild.

Having said that, MAGNUMs are extremely hard to come by, and there are currently none listed on wine-searcher.

Level is mid shoulder (or maybe just below) and there is some corrossion to the capsule. (See pictures)

Having said that, there is no sign of seepage in my VinoSafe...

An interesting one, which may turn out to be a bargain (or not) but surely worth a punt!
