Description

Three bottles of this "First Growth of the Languedoc", recently removed from a newly opened OWC.

Levels and labels in very good condition. Some minor cosmetic corrosion to the capsules.

75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Malbec/Merlot/Syrah/Cabernet France/Pinot/Tannat according to the label - hopefully Aime Guibert's winemaking is better than his maths!

Some recent Cellartracker notes from 2014:

6/23/2014 - KRIZ WROTE: 90 Points
Mas de Daumas Gassac Vertical (Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam / Bridges (*)): Old but lively on the nose. Some coffee and leather. Stylish old wine with nice bitterness.

2/14/2014 - CHEVALBLANC1959 LIKES THIS WINE: 96 Points
What an amazing bottle. The level was high fill, the colour dark ruby without any hint of brick. On the nose lots of red fruit with blueberries, tobacco and spices. A mouthfiller, very rich, not at all showing its age, on par with all but very few top bordeaux, perfect weight and acidity, elegant and very very long. Wow!

1/25/2014 - ANONYMOUS WROTE: 89 Points
Occasional dinner group; Mature and classical Bordeaux (@B): The color still has a purple hue. On the palate dark forest fruits, earth, sweet spices, mint and vanilla. On the palate dark berries, chocolate, some bell pepper, powdery tannin and good acidity. The wine is ready now, but no extreme hurry.
