"Poggio Scalette's 2012 Chianti Classico (100% Sangiovese) is gorgeous. Dark red and black stone fruits, spices, leather and menthol meld together in a supple yet powerful wine endowed with terrific depth and complexity at its level. All the elements are in the right place. Galloni 89 Pts

Poggio Scalette is a winery which I am definitely in love with. Their flagship wine (Il Carbonaione) is one of the most beautiful, gorgeous, exciting and fairly priced wines that I have ever tasted. And their Chianti follows the same path. The above description is absolutely fair, even if I would have given this wine 2 points more.
However this Chianti is not only good. It is also very cheap and we have managed to secure a small parcel which we can offer at amazing conditions.
