Unquestionably good *** Michael Broadbent

This bottle comes from the cellar of a retired wine merchant, where it was undiscovered for more than 20 years.

The label is almost gone, but it is clear the year is 1955 and there is enough lettering to be sure it is a Pommard.

The colour is spectacular, no sign of the 'browning' that can affect old Burgundy in particular.
