Description

Three bottles of the second wine of 2nd growth Pauillac Pichon Lalande, from the delicious 1985 vintage, fresh from an OWC that has been stored in an underground Essex cellar for many years. Capsules and levels are perfect, the labels have a few nibbles along the edges.

1985 Bordeaux Blind (Berkeley): Group's #4; my #2; 0 first; 6 second; 1 third; 1 last. Lovely bouquet of meat, leather, cedar, and dark fruits. On the palate, cassis, minerals, and smoke. Complex, full-bodied, with wonderful acidity, depth of fruit, and a long finish.
