Seña is a partnership between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, who searched for four long years before finding the ideal Chilean terroir in Valle de Aconcagua where they acquired 350 hectares of virgin hillside land in order to handcraft a world class wine of distinctive quality and character.
Since then the proprietor Eduardo Chadwick has triumphantly travelled the world pitting his wine against the world’s best in blind tastings. Today’s release, the 2012 vintage is now recognised as their greatest ever vintage, supplanting the 2000, which trades today at £140 a bottle. The 2012 has been awarded 98 points by James Suckling, proclaiming it ‘the geatest Sena ever. (Winemaker and owner Agree).’
A phenomenal red with aromas of blackberry, licorice, sandalwood and hot stones turns to cigar box and hints of sweet tea. Full body, with incredible depth and concentration yet agile and playful. Long and fascinating. It talks to you.
