70% Aglianico and 30% Merlot, Shiraz and Piedirosso.
From the Campania region of Italy, the winery is located in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius which contributes a mineral rich backbone to this massively structured red. Mouth puckering tannins and firm acidity carry this wine for decades. The Serpico vineyards are planted at more than 1,000 feet of elevation and range from 40 to 70 years old.
Tasting notes: Cherry, plum, chocolate, black pepper and toasted oak.
