Description

Stored at the Wine Society since purchase, where it is now, a six-bottle case of this famous, top-tier, Languedoc red made by Karen Turner - an enthusiastic and amiable Australian wine maker, should you ever meet her at the domaine (and who also, now, has her own domaine, Turner-Pageot). It's 45% syrah, 30% grenache, 25% mourvèdre.

An interesting aspect of this wine's history is where they took cuttings from when originally establishing the vines. Syrah cuttings from Chave, grenache from Rayas, mourvdre from Tempier, and then syrah from Beaucastel. Quite remarkable.

Price includes UK delivery by the Wine Society's excellent delivery service or, if you are a member and prefer, transfer to your own storage account with the Society. All tax and duty have already been paid. So a great chance to buy a wine confidently and conveniently, with clear provenance.

The Wine Society's original tasting note, and proposed drink date:
"This famous estate just outside Pezenas was recently bought by Russian oligarchs who were wise to keep the same winemaking team. Châteauneuf-like depth and brilliance with the mourvèdre especially good. Full bodied with plenty of fruit and great length. 2014–2024"

And here is the domaine's own note: http://www.bebian.fr/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/PRIEURE-ROUGE-2010-english.pdf

Hope you enjoy this exciting red from a top Languedoc estate - with clear provenance and easy delivery.
