The Tenuta Della Terre Nere comes from the best parcels in the Fuedo di Mezzo, which the the largest cru in the appellation. This is the most elegant of all the 2011's I have tasted from Terre Nere. It brings an incredible character and style similar to that of the great wines of Burgundy and Barolo. There is absolutely gorgeous aromas and flavors of ripe cherries, strawberries, spices and tar wrapped in beautiful fresh floral and mineral. It's impeccably balanced and structured with wonderful purity and focus. The finish is sensational, super long and clean, leaving behind lovely fresh red fruits to linger.
