Description

ORGANOLEPTIC EXAMINATION: the nose is dominated by elegant notes of spices next to hints of sour cherries and small black berry fruits, balsamic notes, vanilla and hints of resin from the Mediterranean pinewood; the most classic expression of an indigenous Tuscan wine. In the mouth the tannic texture is thick and elegant, still evolving towards soft, velvety sensations.

GRAPES: Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Foglia Tonda, Pugnitello

VINEYARD OF ORIGIN: TRAINING: spurred cordon

YEAR OF PLANT: YIELD PER HECTARE: q / ha GROUND: HARVEST: end of September – early October

VINIFICATION: fermentation and maceration take place in wooden barrels at a controlled temperature

MATURATION: 12 months in 20 hectolitre barrels AGING: 12 months in bottle
