Watershed is situated in the heart of the Margaret River wine growing area, and produces a wide range of varietal wines.
They are highly regarded in their native Australia for offering good quality together with good value. This is their mid-tier bottling. I've drunk this twice recently and it offers delicious ripe fruit & easy mellow drinking which definitely over-delivers - both times the bottle seemed to empty worryingly quickly!

Gamey, plummy nose with minty hint. On the palate, it's very soft tannin, medium acidity. At peak. With sediment.

Dark garnet, musky nose with lifted notes of pepper, leather, and seaweed. Stewed cherries come to the fore, but fades with some time in the glass. Some spice (cinamon), and soft tannins held up by some acidity, and a lingering umami bramble and some green stems, reminding me of chinese tea. Approachable and elegant in a medium-bodied way. No chocolate, despite what the back label says. Better drink up now - pleasant, but unlikely to get more interesting.
