The name is given to these vineyards because of the roses that are planted at the head of each row, which symbolizes the careful care and love of the vine growers. Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino wines are derived from the grapes of these Delle Rose vineyards when they are perfectly ripe.
