Description

Stored in eurocave. Dom Ruinart rosé is unique in its blend, it is a kind of ""blanc de blancs rosé"". It is made from 81% Chardonnay from the great growths of the Côte des Blancs for 69% (Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Orger) 31 % from the Mountain of Reims (Sillery, Puissieulx) and 19% Pinot Noir vinified in red, from the only growth of Sillery. It is without doubt one of the most delicately aromatic Ruinart rosés that can be found. It is only twelve years old and yet it has already expressed the essence. Fresh raspberry matches the acidity of red currant jelly with a touch of wild strawberry. It is a wine more chalky than smoky. Its oriental spices gives it complexity, its rosewood is of great finesse, an air of faded rose floats on the surface of the champagne when the material asserts itself in the mouth. This brilliant expression reveals a surprising equation: velvetiness and breed come together to describe a great wine. Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, first the incomparable 1998 and 2002, then all those of this ancient lineage."
