Description

Pristine condition, one of the most well kept wine ever came across

Selle & Mosca (also "Sella e Mosca") is the largest wine producer in Sardinia, with a wide range of wines featuring local specialties, wider Mediterranean and so-called "international" varieties. It is known particularly for its wines from Cannonau (Grenache), and Vermentino, plus the Torbato grape, which is grown exclusively by the company at their I Piani estate.

1968 was a good year for Italian heavyweight wines such as Barolo and Brunello. Whilst Bordeaux suffered from a poor vintage, 1968 marked somewhat of a renaissance for Italian wines particularly those from Tuscany and Piedmont. 1968 was the vintage that Sassicaia was first offered on the open market.
