Description
Two bottles. Levels (inverted bottles) around 1cm.
Labels have suffered a little from a damp cellar in East Sussex.
Good foils.
93 points Wine Spectator:
"Subtle but seductive. This deep-gold Champagne seems subdued at first, but the layers of flavor--pear, vanilla, mineral and hazelnut--develop and expand as you sip. An invitingly plush texture and a lingering finish make it hard to resist..."

I am not sure how to describe it, as it had all the typical best qualities of a mature champagne and it had them in spades, alas I am not a poet.
Brioche, toast, caramel, excellent balance and length, salty feel on the palate. Once it is in the glass, you just marvel at it silently, a sign of an outstanding wine. Unforgettable showing, my WOTN. It was compared to Sean Connery as a James Bond - charm above all else.

Light gold. Smells and feels a touch tired at first but quickly springs to life with big citrus acid and excellent minerality. Showing great brioche, sweet caramel, and baking aromas while still delivering good power and depth. Like green apple but with rich almond butter spread on top.

nuts, malt, fruitbread, sharp, crispy acidity, honey, raisins, whisky, wood, long aftertaste, balanced acidity and sweetness, fine perlage, brioche, yeast, cream, I think at the top, at least 10 more years for aging possible.
