THE CUVÉE

The fame of Cantenac Brown wines is due in particular to the power of their bouquet, their elegance and their finesse. Their nervous and mellow character reveals the characteristic taste of Margaux and the qualities so full of charms of Saint-Julien.
THE CHÂTEAU CANTENAC BROWN ESTATE

It is an English-style castle that John-Lewis Brown had built at the beginning of the 19th century, one of the most original areas in the whole of the Médoc. 48 hectares of vines make up the farm, in addition to the 20 hectares of park which is a real nature reserve for all animals wishing to nest there. The property has belonged to the Le Lous family since 2019.
The three grape varieties grown there are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, most of which are planted in Cantenac (as the name of the chateau specifies) where the clay-limestone soils composed of gravel.
In the vines, the work is meticulous and respectful of the environment: plowing, composting. The vines are disbudded, stripped and then sucked off on the vines to ensure the best ripeness of the berries. The harvest is manual, a careful sorting is carried out before fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The aging takes place in barrels.
